Homemade Oreo's

When it comes to rich, indulgent desserts, this one takes the cake... mix. Haha.

These are a classic I grew up eating and something Nana Lee was known for. Make these for your next party, event, or cozy night in. They will for sure become a favorite that you're asked to bring again and again.

It may look like you just baked one million cookies, but once you're finished assembling them you'll only have half that amount. Don't panic! However, you should be aware that they are dangerously delicious and difficult to not eat all at once.

Let's get baking!

Cookie Ingredients

2 Devil's Food Cake mixes

1 tsp vanilla

4 eggs

1 1/4 Cup vegetable oil

Mix together well. Dough will be wet and oily. Roll into small balls and bake @ 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until tops start to crack. Watch closely to know for sure for your oven and baking conditions. Cool slightly on baking tray and then remove to cool completely.

Filling Ingredients

8 oz. cream cheese

1/2 Cup butter

1 lb. powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add vanilla. Slowly add in powdered sugar until smooth and well mixed.

Assemble

Match up cookies by size, two by two. Frost one cookie bottom and then sandwich with another. Enjoy!
