You guys!! I am not joking when I say this is the only breadstick recipe you will ever need. The are easy, delicious, and the perfect addition to any meal. Only taking about 40 minutes start to finish, you'll wow your family and find yourself making them again and again.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 C. warm water, 1 Tblsp active dry yeast, 2 Tblsp sugar, 3 1/2 C. flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 Tblsp olive oil, 1/4 C. butter, 3/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning, 1/2 tsp parsley flakes, 1 1/2 Tblsp grated parmesan cheese.

Proof the yeast. In a small bowl combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit and bubble for 5-10 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir in yeast mixture and oil. Knead until smooth. Let rise for 15 minutes. Roll dough out into rectangle, and cut with pizza cutter into 16 strips. (Or less if you want them to be thicker.). Fold each strip in half and twist. Place on greased baking sheet.

In another small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, and parmesan cheese. Brush onto twisted breadsticks. Let Rise while oven preheats to 400 degrees. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Remove and sprinkle with powdered parmesan cheese.

Now make a big bowl of warm soup, lasagna, or pizza and enjoy!
